IOT Gateway for the acquisition, pre-processing and storage of machine and production data

The smart ARM® based IoT gateway SIMATIC IOT2050 is ideal for retrofitting and makes existing plants and machines IIoT-capable in a simple and cost-efficient way. It connects different data sources, harmonizes communication between them, analyzes the data and forwards it for evaluation, e.g. to a local ERP system or a cloud.

Reliable, open platform designed for the acquisition, processing and transfer of data directly in the production environment.

It is ideally suited for use as a gateway between the cloud or company IT level and production.

The openness of the system in supporting numerous communication protocols and programming in high-level languages enables tailored solutions.

SIMATIC IOT2050 SM
  • With the SIMATIC IOT2050 SM variant, data from the field level can be easily recorded directly via S7-1200 I/O modules without a controller. The high-performance system with 4 GB DDR4 RAM is ideal for use in wide temperature ranges from -20 to +50 °C. 
SIMATIC IOT2050 M.2
  • With the SIMATIC IOT2050 M.2 variant, the gateway can be easily expanded e.g. to include radio cards via the variant-specific M.2 slot or data storage modules like M.2 SSD.
