The latest SIMATIC RACK server with two height units enables the use of up to two double-width, high-performance AI accelerator cards. These can be plugged into the two risers, each with two PCle Gen. 5.0 interfaces. As a true industrial PC, it was developed for hyperconvergent infrastructures and offers a wide range of applications here: As a basis for telecommunication services, data center and private IoT cloud.

The server gets its computing performance from two AMD® EPYC™ Embedded Server processors.

The robust industrial design allows reliable use even in harsh environments at ambient temperatures of up to 45 °C. The SIMATIC IPC RS-828A is not affected by vibrations and delivers constant computing and graphics performance.

With up to 8 drives and a maximum of 6 TB RAM (24 DIMMs), the latest RACK server provides sufficient memory. The two 10 GB Ethernet ports on board enable stable data exchange in a wide range of applications. The other 3 PCIe Gen. 5.0 slots provide space for additional extensions, such as additional network cards.

Design

SIMATIC IPC RS-828A features a robust 19″ (2 U) all-metal enclosure with high electromagnetic compatibility.
