Manchester, United Kingdom – Transform 2024, Siemens’ most anticipated event last week ended with massive success. Over 4000 industry professionals gathered to discover and celebrate Siemens’ innovation, as the technology giant showcased cutting-edge technologies leveraging the industries’ digital transformation, sustainability and future innovations.
As Siemens’ largest independent distributor in the UK, Parmley Graham worked closely with Siemens and Stäubli experts to deliver a robotics integration demonstrator using Stäubli and Kawasaki industrial robots working side by side in one integrated system. This was made possible with SIMATIC Robot Integrator effortlessly integrating robots from different manufacturers (and different setup and language) easily without the complexity.
Visitors had the opportunity to meet our team Ian Connor, Joshua Swain and Saad Zahabi, and experienced a closer look at the demo showing a variety of applications including complex assembly tasks and intricate material handling process and unsurprisingly generated significant interests from companies operating in various industries.
“This event was phenomenal. We have been very busy for the entire 2 days, the discussion with visitors was interesting and it just shows how powerful Siemens technology is, and well ahead of the game. We are very proud to be part of this and our team are extremely delighted that Transform 2024 has exceeded our expectations.” says Ian Connor – Vertical Market Account Manager for Food & Beverage at Parmley Graham.
The stand was very busy with delegates interested in learning more about the SIMATIC solution from our team of robotics experts and how Staübli’s robots could benefit their business.
Key highlights of our Robotics Demo
- Synergy Between Technologies: The integration of Stäubli industrial robots with the Siemens SIMATIC Robot Integrator exemplifies the future of automation.
- Ease of Integration: The demonstration showcased how these technologies can be seamlessly combined to develop and integrate robotics and automation systems without the traditionally complex, time-consuming, and costly processes.
The Stäubli Industrial Robot demonstrated precision, speed, reliability and versatility – well celebrated for their high performance, making them ideal for various industrial applications including complex assembly tasks and intricate material handling processes.
SIMATIC Robot Integrator was applauded for its innovative features:
- User-Friendly Interface: Simplifies programming and operational management, even for users with limited robotics experience.
- Real-Time Data Analytics and Diagnostics: Provides proactive maintenance capabilities, minimising downtime and boosting productivity.
- Scalability and Flexibility: Easily integrates with robots from different manufacturers, accommodating various setups without substantial overhauls.
- Pre-Configured Libraries: Specific to Stäubli robots, reducing setup time and effort, and streamlining the integration process.
Parmley Graham’s Sales Director, George Mackey, who was also in attendance commented: “Over the 2 days of the event, there was great interest shown in the live robotics demo on the Parmely Graham stand. Seeing the collaboration between the SIMATIC Robot Integrator and Stäubli / Kawasaki industrial robots along with Siemens’ Digital Twin simulation software was interesting. Such is the pull of the Transform we entertained customers from Aberdeen, Swansea, and Southampton. Overall the show was enlightening and it was interesting for me to see the keynote speeches on AI and Cybersecurity – subject areas very much in the fore.”
