The Data Matrix Positioning System uses Data Matrix codes, which are arranged side by side on a code reel as an information carrier. The reading head, based on modern 2-D camera technology, captures these two-dimensional codes and evaluates the exact position in directions X, Y, and Zup to 100,000 meters.

The Data Matrix Positioning System uses Data Matrix codes, which are arranged side by side on a code reel as an information carrier. As safe variant “safePXV”, for the first time, the positioning system realises safety level “SIL 3/ PL e” with only one single sensor.
